Candle & Food Mixes Fundraiser Begins Today

Today I met with travelers to kick off our first fall fundraiser. Students picked up brochures on which to collect orders for various gift items. A couple of important pieces of information about this particular sale:

• You earn 50% profit on all items sold ($10 candle = $5 for your trip)
• Collect money at the time the order is placed
• Checks can be made payable to Chi-Hi
• All orders and payments are due at our next meeting: October 5th
• Profits will be put toward the trip account of the individual making the sales. However, as we need some money in our account to pay (up front) for candy bar orders in October, profits from your sales will not be sent to EF until (likely) early December.

Lunch & Learn Meeting Postponed to Wednesday, Sept. 23!

Italy Travelers,

I apologize for the late notice and the inconvenience this will cause, but I'm ill and will be staying home from school tomorrow. Unfortunately, this means our already-delayed meeting will have to be delayed once more!

Since I don't want to push it back until our next scheduled meeting (1st Monday of October), can we plan to meet WEDNESDAY instead? Same place (rm 136) and I'll be there either Lunch (A or B) to present the same information. I'll have forms for our first fundraiser available as well as updated information about the trip!

Reminder: Magazine Fundraiser

Greetings, Travelers! As the school year gets underway and we begin the fundraising frenzy (candle sale to begin this week), don't forget about the easy fundraising option at your fingertips: our online magazine sales.

Direct family and friends to our group fundraising site, where they can buy new magazine subscriptions OR renew old ones. New to the site this year, visitors can also order cookie dough or books online to benefit our group. 40% of the cost of any purchased items goes directly to your trip account - and all you have to do is send emails! (For a hard copy of the magazine titles offered through the site, click here)

You can visit the site directly and, from there, send emails to family and friends inviting them to participate. Otherwise, I can also set up an account for you (if you would like) by sending me the email address you would use to send email invitations to your supporters.

Our next scheduled meeting (for students) is Monday, Sept. 21st during Lunch & Learn. Don't miss it if you plan to take advantage of all the fundraising programs we are launching!
